Pre-Mattel vs. Mattel Sam bday and tea dresses

I need to hear from people who have seen both the pre-Mattel and current versions of Sam's tea dress and birthday dress! Does anyone know if there are any differences at all? A lot of Kirsten's stuff has changed since I started collecting and I was wondering if Sam's has changed too. I'm still trying to decide whether to order the new spring dress, which may retire at the end of the season (who knows) or the beautiful tea dress which I LOVE or the poofy birthday dress which I don't care for but is the only one of the 6 basic outfits I don't have! I also really like the talent show dress but since it is in the movie, I don't think it is going anywhere for awhile...

I also need to know if white high button shoes match the spring dress. Those are my Sam's shoes of choice.

I've compared the Mattel and PM Birthday dresses up close and couldn't find any differences. I don't have the tea dress. Hope that helps!

i can put the spring dress and high button boots on one of my dolls on friday. probably won't be samantha, though, she is cozy in the sleigh right now. i will take pics. also, by accident i have 2 nellie's spring dresses and i'm not sure what i am going to do with one, probably hold onto it for a while i suppose.

Well, since you love the tea dress s much and since it's been around so long and Samantha's collection is expanding, I expect it might retire, I'd say definatly go with the tea dress.

I was debating over the same thing and have decided to order her tea dress first. Her birthday dress is a basic staple to her collection.

There's also the talent show dress to consider. It's on the last page of her outfits collection and not backordered which I am surprised about. No I can't afford to order both, so that's out of the question no matter how you want to corrupt me. [img]wink.gif[/img]
